The story of Tully and Kate continues on Netflix, the streaming service that just announced the renewal for season 2 of Firefly Lane – or Always there for you in the US.
Developed by Maggie Friedman (to whom we owe the more than sympathetic No Tomorrow) who remains showrunner on the series, Always there for you is an adaptation of the bestseller Firefly Lane written by Kristin Hannah (still unpublished in France) which we offer to follow the story of two inseparable friends over several decades. So, after meeting at Firefly Lane in their youth, Tully Hart (Katherine Heigl) and Kate Mularkey (Sarah Chalke) will go through, together and inseparable, the ups and downs of the next thirty years.
The cast also includes Ben Lawson, Beau Garrett, and Yael Yurman, but also Patrick Sabongui, Chelah Horsdal, Brendan Taylor, Jon Ecker, Brandon Jay McLaren, and Jenna Rosenow.
The first season of Firefly Lane was uploaded to Netflix last February and received mixed reviews by then. The public was obviously there, at least it is obvious that this satisfies the giant of the video on demand which will then propose a season 2 in 2022.
