After the release of the Castlevania season 4 trailer a few days ago, the long-awaited moment for fans has finally arrived as it is scheduled to air on Netflix today on May 13, 2021.
The release of this final season of the adaptation of the famous video game which launched in 2017 is unfortunately good news and bad news at the same time for the fans, but they will still be delighted to learn that the producers are already in the process of preparing a new anime in the same genre and based on the same license.
What to expect in this fourth season?
Well, given the theatrical trailer that we saw a few days ago, this last part consisting of 10 episodes will promise heavy in terms of combat and storyline.
In this trailer, if you haven’t been able to see it yet, we are shown several incredibly well-done scenes and we will find the iconic trio of players (the hunter Trevor Belmont, the magician Sypha Belnades and the vampire Alucard Tepes).
We see, for example, Belmont and Sypha who plan to resuscitate the great Dracula and who will have to face at the same time many parties who are not at all ready to see the big boss of vampires again and let the duo accomplish their quest. . As for Alucard, he will have to face his humanity which he will have a hard time dealing with in this season.
This trailer blew our eyes away and promises a memorable ending that will hopefully live up to previous seasons with the return of the breathtaking sets already known to spectators.
But what will Netflix have in store for us after Castlevania?
Arguably this animated series is a huge success, and while the Vampire Wars are drawing to a close, Netflix promises a continuation of the adventures of other characters in the license. We will surely know a little more in the coming months. Otherwise, Castlevania is just the first in a long list of video game adaptations that the popular streaming platform is planning to release.
Indeed, Netflix is increasing its production projects for animated series from video games. This is especially the case with several big titles like Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Cuphead, Cyberpunk 2077, Diablo, Splinter Cell, and Twisted Metal and this list could grow longer over time. While waiting to see if this new project around Castlevania materializes, we remind you that the studio behind this series has already signed for a new project entitled “Blood of Zeus” which from this title will be focused on Greek mythology.
Is the series made for the general public?
The answer is yes because even if you haven’t been able to play Castlevania yet, you will have no trouble keeping up with the storyline. As a reminder, and for those who have not yet been able to see the series, we follow the story of an exceptional trio made up of the magician Sypha Belnades, Dracula’s son, Alucard, and the demon hunter Trevor Belmont who must fight together against the terror established by none other than the vampire lord Vlad Dracula Tepes. The stories of our heroes will evolve as episodes and seasons progress and more characters will appear to spice things up a bit.
So if you haven’t yet seen Castlevania which is already available on Netflix, now is the time to do so before concluding with this final season.
