Last October, Showtime took everyone by surprise by announcing the return of Dexter for a season 9. The American channel is betting a lot on this revival and offers us a new teaser to prepare us for the return this fall of the famous serial killer.
Composed of 10 episodes, this season 9 of Dexter will be scripted by Clyde Phillips (who had left the original show after its fourth season) and will bring us back to the famous serial killer played by Michael C. Hall seven years after leaving Miami. So there is no question of pretending that the controversial end of Season 8 has not happened (see our ranking of seasons in the series).
The story will then take us to the small town of Iron Lake where Dexter now lives. If the first teaser is to be believed, in addition to his miserable lumberjack activity, Dexter smiles again as he resumes his murderous activities.
In terms of the cast of this season 9 of Dexter, Michael C. Hall is joined by Clancy Brown, as was officially announced, but also Julia Jones, Alano Miller, Johnny Sequoyah, Jack Alcott, Jamie Chung, Oscar Wahlberg, Katy Sullivan, Michael Cyril Creighton, and David Madoff.
