Unlike many other series this year, The Chi does not miss its date. Season 4 is indeed here, it begins this Sunday evening on the American channel Showtime in the company of Black Monday and Flatbush Misdemeanors.
Still scripted by Justin Hillian who had become a showrunner in season 3, The Chi will bring us back to the inhabitants of the South Side of Chicago. Season 4 will explore in particular the police’s policy on the black community after a violent encounter between Jake (Michael V. Epps) and officers.
Meanwhile, newlyweds Emmett (Jacob Latimore) and Tiff (Hannah Hall) deal with the consequences of Emmet’s relationship with Dom (La La Anthony); Kiesha (Birgundi Baker) takes stock of what being pregnant changes for her, as Jada (Yolonda Ross) finds love where she never expected. The relationship between Kevin (Alex Hibbert) and Jemma (Judaea Brown) evolves, and Papa (Shamon Brown Jr.) is starting a new business. The new mayor, Douda (Curtiss Cook), realizes the extent of his newfound power while working on his complicated relationship with his wife Roselyn (Kandi Burruss). Finally, Trig (Luke James) and Imani (Jasmine Davis) are dedicated to helping their community.
In the cast of this season 4 of The Chi, we will find Jacob Latimore, Alex Hibbert, Yolonda Ross, Shamon Brown Jr., Michael V. Epps, and Birgundi Baker.
