The story takes place in a medieval world, in which the sacred knights of Britannia can protect their kingdom with extremely powerful magic. Things turn sour when some of these knights turn on their own and betray the land… but the truth is more complicated than that.
The Holy Knights have apparently defeated those who threatened the country’s prosperity, but even though the dangerous knights known as the “Seven Deadly Sins” are presumed dead, legends about them refuse to end. Ten years after the alleged defeat of the “Seven Deadly Sins”, the Sacred Knights seize power, establishing a tyrannical rule against their people.
From there, we follow Elizabeth, a princess from the kingdom of Liones who is not ready to abandon her home to the mercy of the sacred knights. Instead, she sets out on a quest to find the legendary “Seven Deadly Sins”, righting some wrongs in her unjust world in the process. WHAT IS THE RELEASE DATE FOR THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS SEASON 6?
Season 5 ended on June 23 with 24 episodes. In early March 2021, it was announced that the next episode of The Seven Deadly Sins franchise would be an animated film that would pick up the story of Season 5, which ended with the final chapters of the original manga series. This means that the film will have an original story, written by Suzuki himself.
The project is called The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light or Nanatsu no Taizai Movie 2: Hikari ni Norowareshi Mono-Tachi. This is the second animated film in The Seven Deadly Sins franchise after releasing in 2018! The next content is therefore scheduled for July 2, 2021, in Japan.
In more classic serial format, however, it is possible that The Seven Deadly Sins Season 6: Four Knights of the Apocalypse release date will be set for late 2022 or early 2023.
