Broadcast this winter on the American channel Epix, the first season of the drama Bridge and Tunnel seemed to have gone unnoticed, but it visibly found its audience and thus won a season 2.
Epix also does not communicate any details about the audience or the general success of the show. Regardless, the production of Season 2 of Bridge and Tunnel will begin this fall in New York City for airing in 2022.
If you are not familiar with this series written, produced, and directed by Edward Burns (The Brothers McMullen, Public Morals), Bridge and Tunnel takes us to Long Island in the 80s. The story revolves around the members of a group of young graduates (each episode focusing on a different character) who chase their dreams in Manhattan while clinging to their working-class roots on Long Island.
In terms of the cast, Bridge and Tunnel brings together Sam Vartholomeos (Star Trek: Discovery), Caitlin Stasey (Reign, Please Like Me), Gigi Zumbado (9-1-1, Criminal Minds, Scream), Brian Muller (The Deuce) JanLuis Castellanos (13 Reasons Why Marvel’s Runaways), and Isabella Farrell (The Good Fight).
