SKELETOR & THE SWORD
After struggling to enter the Hall of Wisdom, Teela recounted to Adam all that happened after his death and how all of the magic was removed from Eternia after the Orb of Power was destroyed by Skeletor and the destruction of the Sword of Power. The sword having been remade, it could once again act as a conduit to bring back the magic from the primordial realms of Preternia and Subternia.
Adam called upon the power of the Gray Skull and, in a short time, the garden in the heart of the Hall of Wisdom was restored, as was the Gray Skull Witch, who had aged as the magic drained from it. ‘Eternia. The orb inside Evil-Lyn’s wand also glowed, Eternia’s magic being restored, and Tri-Klops and his minions fled as the illusion of Gray Skull castle around. The restoration of the hall of wisdom
As Adam was about to complete the incantation that would transform him into He-Man, the head of Skeletor’s Staff of Hauntedness levitated out of Evil-Lyn’s satchel, as a dark power began to sink in. ‘flow from his wand. Skeletor revealed himself, reformed his body, and stabbed Adam in the chest with the Staff of Haunting before seizing the Sword of Power.
Skeletor said that he only had a split second before the Orb of Power’s destruction killed his physical form as well and that he had utilized that split second to place his essence in Evil-Lyn. He then bided his time, watching events unfold around him until the time was ripe to strike.
EXPLANATION OF THE END OF SEASON 1.
A hero always needs a villain on a planet like Eternia. Otherwise, he is just a benefactor with no real purpose, no one to save, and no one to fight. To balance the scales of Prince Adam’s resurrection, Skeletor also makes a shocking comeback at the end of “Masters of the Universe: Apocalypse” impaling the hero with his ram-headed staff.
But how did Skeletor manage to make his comeback? In the lore of villains, during the original explosion beneath Grayskull Castle in the fifth episode of Masters of the Universe Revelation Skeletor speaks lyrically about the fact that he locked himself in Evil-Lyn’s staff to “protect its essence”.
If he had a mustache, he would spin it. And to add insult to injury, creator Kevin Smith and the show’s writers give Skeletor everything he ever wanted: the power of Grayskull. Yes, it’s true: it took just under 40 years for the final episode of “Revelation” Part 1 to hand over the keys to Skeletor and transform him into a muscular version of himself.
Interestingly, this bloated Skeletor is filled with a fiery green essence that isn’t much different from the powers of Scare Glow in the previous episode. Hmm. Either way, it’s a huge cliffhanger to leave. It will be interesting to see how this huge power shift affects the rest of Eternia in Part 2, especially as the sword reforestation was supposed to bring magic back to the world.
