In the air since mid-May on the American channel Hallmark, season 7 of The Good Witch – or a Hint of Magic in France – is now officially the last. The series will thus end on July 25 and will not return for a season 8.
Launched 13 years ago as a TV drama series, The Good Witch became a regular series in 2015 and has since established itself as a Hallmark hit. In total, there were therefore 7 TV movies plus 7 regular seasons (and 5 special TV movies for Halloween), which makes a total of 82 episodes.
If you’re not familiar with A Touch of Magic, it stars Catherine Bell as the good witch Cassie Nightingale who, when the series opens, lives in the small town of Middleton with her teenage daughter Grace (Bailee Madison ). It’s there that she meets Sam Radford (James Denton), a doctor and father of a teenage boy who suspects something strange is going on with the Nightingales.
So we had Catherine Bell, Bailee Madison, and James Denton, but also Rhys Matthew Bond, Catherine Disher, Anthony Lemke, Kylee Evans, Peter MacNeill, Sarah Power, Dan Jeannotte, Marc Bendavid, Scott Cavalheiro, and Katherine Barrell.
In the US you can find her on Netflix (currently 5 seasons) and Salto (currently two seasons). It was also broadcast in France on M6 and Gulli.
