Formerly programmed by Chiller (cable channel of the NBCUniversal group), the anthology Slasher was saved from cancellation by Shudder, the streaming service dedicated to horror belonging to the AMC group, which will thus broadcast season 4 from the August 12 – two episodes for launch, then one per week.
What is Slasher Season 4 about?
The creation of Aaron Martin, Slasher is an anthology that offers an independent, complete story by season. Since season 3, Ian Carpenter has replaced Martin in the role of showrunner and he, therefore, scripted season 4 which is also subtitled Slasher: Flesh & Blood.
The plot revolves around a wealthy, dysfunctional family who reunites on a remote island. There, they learn that they will have to oppose each other in a cruel game of life and death in which the winner will come away with all of the family fortunes. The situation quickly escalates when a masked serial killer aims. Nothing is what it seems and no one is immune. The tension then rises as quickly as the number of corpses.
Who is in the cast of Slasher: Flesh & Blood?
The cast for this season 4 of Slasher is led by director and occasional actor David Cronenberg. We will find alongside him actors who have already appeared in the franchise: Paula Brancati (Dark Oracle), Jefferson Brown (Carrie), Patrice Goodman (Sunnyside), Sabrina Grdevich (AI Artificial Intelligence), and Christopher Jacot (Going the Distance), as well as newcomers: Rachael Crawford (Heartland), Jeananne Goosen (The Walking Dead), Sydney Meyer (Departure) and Alex Ozerov (The Americans).
Two of the first three seasons of Slasher are currently in the Netflix catalog. No information has been released regarding the upcoming availability of Season 4 on the platform at this time.
