EXPLANATION OF THE END OF SEASON 5 BY VAN HELSING
Bathory is dead, after throwing herself off the edge of a tall building to prevent the Dark One from using her as a pawn. Ivory, too, makes a sacrifice on her side. She decides that at least for now, her destiny is to scour the Earth in search of survivors of the community of sisters. Of course, Jack’s heart breaks upon hearing this, but she too sacrifices her happiness in the service of Ivory’s, knowing that they will be reunited someday.
Axel is also putting his future on hold to take care of Vanessa, the “sleeping beauty,” as he did in the first episode of the series. He isn’t quite ready to give it up yet.
