WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THE FOLLOWING?
Catherine wakes up in her bed with her boyfriend Leo in the final episode of the first season and declares that her only goal is to control Russia. But Peter is due to be killed the same day, and she is organizing a coup. However, the coup d’etat was thwarted as Pierre disarmed Catherine. Mariol announces Pierre Catherine’s pregnancy and her diabolical plan.
Pierre is apparently furious. But by playing the pregnancy card, Catherine wins Pierre’s sympathy. Peter has Leo imprisoned and has asked Catherine to choose between Leo and the Empire. Although initially in conflict, Catherine bids farewell to Leo, as her desire to be a monarch is too strong.
In addition, in Season 2 of The Great will see Catherine step into the shoes of a mother, and she will have more responsibilities. The loss of Hoult will have a serious impact on the people of the monarchy. Although Leo is most likely dead, he promises to haunt Catherine at the end of the first season. Therefore, it is always possible for him to return as a ghost. Rest assured, you shouldn’t expect a history lesson from the show, as it relies primarily on the dramatization of the story.
