This happens after Amado decides to defect to Konoha while Kashin Koji forces Ishikki Otsotsuki to finally wake up so they can kill him for good. With Kawaki’s karma still not ready, it meant that Kawaki would finally be free from the karma he so despised.
The last episode focused on Amado trying to take refuge in the Leaf while Kashin Koji’s toad broadcasts the fight to Konoha. We got to see how Kashin Koji fares against Jigen and his skills have pushed Jigen to his limits, leaving Ishiki with no choice but to resurrect completely so that he can stop Koji’s attacks.
We also learned that Kashin Koji is actually Jiraiya’s biological clone. But we still don’t know how Ishiki managed to find out, it probably has to do with an ocular Jutsu. That aside, we’ll soon see Ishiki launch a full assault on the leaf. But since he’s reincarnated at full strength, even the combined efforts of Naruto and Sasuke won’t be able to stop him, the way Jigen sees it.
