Star Wars: Visions offers a total of nine different animated short films that depict traditional Japanese values and morals. Since Star Wars is a cross between science fiction and Japanese culture assimilated in the West by filmmakers such as Akira Kurosawa. The anthology can be seen as a way to honor this legacy.
We’ll see an alternate history of the Jedi and the Sith based on Japanese culture and history in a short video. In another episode, we’ll see the story of Force-sensitive twins raised as Sith. WHAT IS THE RELEASE DATE FOR SEASON 2 OF STAR WARS VISIONS ON DISNEY PLUS?
The first season was released in full on September 22, 2021. Currently, no renewal announcements have been made regarding the release of Season 2 of Star Wars Visions. According to the makers of the series, making the second season of Star Wars: Visions depends on fan reaction.
However, these shorts seem to bet on a renewal coming up, especially episodes like “The Ninth Jedi” are so ripe for a sequel. Even if the series does not get the green light for a season 2, there is still hope of seeing these characters again
The next Star Wars Visions novel Ronin, for example, will feature the mysterious Ronin from the episode “The Duel.” The novel, due out in October 2021, could very well be the first in a series of Visions novels. Unfortunately, it’s extremely difficult to predict a potential return date due to Visions’ multi-studio production format.
While most episodes were shorter than a typical anime episode, the fact that seven different animation studios are working on Star Wars Visions Season 2 means production cannot be consolidated like other projects.
Assuming Season 2 has a similar number of episodes, each of which is similar in length to the first. The Star Wars Visions Season 2 release date is slated for fall 2023 on Disney Plus.
