The popular HBO series Succession airing on OCS is set to return after a two-year hiatus with its third and final season, surprising fans by revealing its release date and the official poster.
After a long wait, the HBO television channel unveiled this Monday, September 13, the exact date of the premiere of the third and final season of Succession, as well as the official poster.
Succession Season 3: What will happen in the last opus?
The third season of Succession will feature just nine episodes (one less than the previous ones), which will air weekly. Airing will begin Sunday, October 17 on HBO. OCS will broadcast season 3 of Succession in US + 24 on Monday, October 18, 2021.
In addition to setting a release date, part of the plot of Succession’s third season has also been revealed, in which we will find Roy (Brian Cox) in a very dangerous situation.
“Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of season 2, Logan Roy begins season 3 in a dangerous position, struggling to secure family, political and financial alliances,” according to the official logline.
However, tensions within the family continue to grow when a trade battle begins, sparking an internal war for control of all businesses. The official poster shows that they all regard each other as real enemies.
Fans expect to see more machinations and underground ploys as the Roy family goes to war after Kendall (Jeremy Strong) betrays his father at the end of Season 2.
The good news is that the new season of Succession will also air the same day on the HBO Max platform, which will offer bonus content from the filming of the third and final installment.
