EXPLANATION OF THE END OF EPISODE 5 OF WHAT IF …?
Earlier in the episode, we learn that the Avengers attempted to aid in the fight against the virus as well as regulate the havoc it generated. However, the majority of the heroes have been transformed into zombies, including Hawkeye, Captain America, Falcon, Iron Man, and Doctor Strange. During episode 5 of What If, we learn that Wanda has also transformed into a zombie and is immune to the cure.
