LEGENDS OF TOMORROW SEASON 6 END EXPLANATION!
The team discovered that Spooner and the Imperium Fountain were dying and needed a younger bishop to help them heal. To solve this problem, they appeal to the bishop’s version of the time of Ava’s trial for help, hoping he will be more prone to his current ailment.
The young bishop has indeed healed Spooner, but he is unable to help Fountain. To do this, the team receives help from none other than John Constantine, who was presumed dead but was turned into a mushroom by La Fontaine.
As Season 6 wraps up, I’m not even sure a finale that includes an alien invasion, a surprise wedding, and the exit of two major characters is shocking, especially compared to those that came before it.
There is no James Taylor song or final fight on a Cisco song. But while there is a lot of “The Fungus Among the Fungus” that doesn’t quite work, the episode is perfect for the part that matters: the Avalanches. Great moment.
As Nate is about to continue the ceremony, Bishop engages in the marriage, without the aliens following him. Everyone runs around the house, where one of the ETS scratches Behrad’s arm, infecting him. Sarah is about to amputate her hand to save her life when Spooner magically grants her Sarah’s healing abilities. She continues to transfer the powers of the Legends to each other while fighting the aliens.
Nate then notices that Sarah and Ava have never traded “I want it”, and the team revolves around the bridesmaids while Kayla briefly buys them. The couple embrace, their friends ally around them, the fountain becomes human-worthy again and regenerates into a giant mushroom, find all the aliens slain. Then Mick’s hungry alien children attack the bishop and devour him.
At sunrise, it was time to say goodbye to two legends. La Fontaine resuscitated John, who had a heart-to-heart conversation with Zari, informing him that he had to move away from magic and, therefore, Legends. Mick Rory also chose to leave, sticking to his vow to care for his children. He said a heartfelt farewell to Sara, the only other OG Legend, telling her how proud he was of her and hearing the same in return.
After all that has been said and done, the Legends have made their way to the Waverider, ready to face a new threat. But before they could reach the ship, another Waverider jumped out of the time zone and bombarded the Waverider before returning, leaving the Legends of Tomorrow stranded in 1925.
