Single Parents is a sitcom television series created by Elizabeth Meriwether and JJ Philbin, for ABC. The series debuted on September 26, 2018, and had a full 23-episode first season. It was then renewed for a second season which began on September 25, 2019. The second season consisted of 22 episodes and ended on May 13, 2020.
The series follows a group of single parents who lean on each other to help raise their 7-year-olds and maintain some sort of personal lives outside of parenthood. Will, a man in his thirties, has become so focused on raising his daughter that he has lost sight of who he is as a man.
When other single parents see how deeply Will has gotten into the twists and turns of parenting association, child-rearing and princesses, they come together to help him thrive and make him understand that being a good parent does not mean sacrificing everything about his own identity. WHAT IS THE RELEASE DATE FOR SEASON 3 OF SINGLE PARENTS ON DISNEY PLUS?
The two seasons of the series were released on Disney Plus at the end of October 2021. In the first two episodes, Single Parents managed to attract decent audiences. It even gathered seven million viewers for its pilot episode.
Unfortunately, the series has never been able to replicate the same audience figures since. However, it still attracted around 3-4 million viewers in each of its subsequent episodes.
Despite these good results, ABC officially announced the cancellation of Single Parents in a statement released on May 21, 2020. As the channel officially announced to the public the end of the series, there is little chance that Single Parents will return for a return. Season 3 on ABC. However, there are still possibilities for resuming production.
For the series to continue, ABC will have to reverse its decision or have another network pick up the series. Both of these options are achievable, but they require a significant public reaction.
At the moment, Single Parents is canceled and Season 3 is almost nonexistent. If by the smallest of luck, Single Parents is renewed for a Season 3 and picked up by Hulu given its arrival on Disney Plus, we do not expect a release date before 2023.
