During the battle, Girl A detonates Mukaido, but Mirai grabs him before hitting the ground. In the last episode of Platinum End, Mirai tells Mukaido not to die because he doesn’t want to see anyone die. Mukaido awakens to reveal that the explosion-proof suit he was wearing helped protect him.
They realize he wants to use the White Arrows to kill humans. Mukaido tells Mirai to be happy because no one has died, but Girl A may have died in the explosion. He notices that Metro has arrived in a funny costume. Metro told Mirai he was taking Mukaido’s powers.
Mirai is furious that Metro is killing people for powers that no one can challenge him as a God Candidate. Metro reveals that the Wings and Arrows he received made him do this. Mirai asks if it’s okay to kill people.
Metro knows it’s wrong to kill, but it has to do it to become God. He tells Mirai that sacrifices must be made and that he must kill for the process to be quick. Mirai wonders why Metro used Girl A and killed her while killing college girls. It reminds her of the importance of friends and families.
