This Monday, September 20, the “Cloud 9” store opened its doors to Netflix users, who were able to wake up with the good surprise of seeing the first five seasons of the hit sitcom on their streaming platform.
Superstore no longer needs to prove itself. So, will the red-logo streaming platform stop there? In other words, will we one day see Superstore season 6 on Netflix?

If you are a Prime Video subscriber, you may have already seen the first five seasons which are already available on the streaming platform. But here’s a quick reminder for those who haven’t yet watched the series.
Superstore is an American sitcom that immerses us in the daily life of employees in a supermarket. “Cloud 9” is the name of the store in which these crazy employees work. Between managing a sometimes surprising clientele, professional and personal relationships between employees, Superstore is a hilarious comedy whose mission is to make us laugh in every episode.
Superstore Season 6 is the last of the series, according to NBC. It is therefore after 113 22-minute episodes recounting the daily life of cosmopolitan supermarket employees that Cloud 9 closes its doors.
And this season 6 of Superstore promises to flirt with the news. Indeed, in the promotional images of the next episodes, we can see the employees wearing surgical masks. We can imagine the funny situations that this will create and will, finally, be able to laugh at this health situation that goes on forever.
Update November 26, 2021: The release date of Season 6 of Superstore has been scheduled for December 15, 2021, on Netflix. We will therefore be able to discover the new adventures of our heroes during the holiday season. This will be the last season, as the US broadcaster has canceled the series following the departure of one of the main characters.
SUPERSTORE SEASON 6 ON NETFLIX: HOW MANY EPISODES ARE PLANNED?
The sitcom’s first season was only eleven episodes long. But that number then increased and stagnated at twenty-two episodes between seasons two and four to decrease slightly to twenty-one episodes for season five.
So we could expect around 20 episodes for season 6 of Superstore. But unfortunately, this sixth season will only have fifteen episodes. This can be explained by the health crisis that disrupted the filming of season 6 of Superstore in 2020.
WILL THE SEASON 6 TRAILER BE AVAILABLE QUICKLY?
As season 6 of Superstore has already been broadcast on NBC from November 2020, the trailer for this umpteenth season is already available. In it, we see that Cloud 9 employees take to heart their role as “essential” workers during this health crisis.
In addition, actress America Ferrara (Ugly Betty), who was scheduled to leave the show at the end of season five, is in attendance for this final season. On Instagram, the former head of Cloud 9 said of her presence in Season 6 of Superstore:
“Surprise! Amy is back! I’m so glad I got to play with my Superstore family for the series finale. It was a happy, bittersweet farewell that we can’t wait to share with our amazing fans. ”
WHAT IS THE RELEASE DATE FOR SUPERSTORE SEASON 6 ON NETFLIX?
As previously mentioned, season 6 of Superstore has already aired on NBC in the United States, so it is only a matter of time before negotiations between Netflix and the American channel are concluded.
If Netflix secures the rights to the final season of the series, then the release date for Superstore season 6 will be quickly announced by the streaming platform. But we can still hope that the latter will be available during the year 2022.
