Fictions based on real events have a different taste, and many people appreciate them all the more because they are usually more poignant and profound. This may explain part of the success of many series, including Undercover.
The Belgian-Dutch series has made its comeback on the big red N streaming platform and unveiled its ever more exciting third part, between betrayals and temptations. But if you’ve seen all the previously unseen episodes of this crime drama, you’re probably wondering if Undercover Season 4 is coming to Netflix anytime soon. If so, don’t move because you’ve come to the right place!

Originally, Netflix had nothing to do with the production of the series. The streaming giant decided to secure the rights after the first series aired on Één, a Belgian television channel. In an interview with The Law of Series, its creator Nico Moolenaa (Vermeist) said:
“It’s a local story made with international money. We have to find the money where it is because we don’t have a lot of money in Belgium, but we like to tell stories that remain anchored in the world we know; we don’t design stories to have international appeal. Although it’s a good thing they have it … “.
But despite its small budget and its desire to be local, the series has crossed Belgian borders and spread across the world. Crime fiction won over many countries when it was released internationally on Netflix and came to the top 10 in many countries including France, Austria, and Germany.
One year after the broadcast of the second series of episodes, this Friday, November 21, 2021, we were able to discover the third part of the fiction. But what do we know about Season 4 of Undercover?
As of yet, the Belgian TV channel the series originated from and the streaming giant have yet to make any official announcements regarding the renewal status of fiction. So we can’t say there will be Undercover Season 4 anytime soon on Netflix.
However, if the series had enough potential to be renewed for a third party, the Undercover Season 4 commission would not be surprising. We can therefore expect the video-on-demand company to decide to order Season 4 of Undercover if the unreleased episodes that just went live are as successful as the previous season. But to find out, we will have to wait a few more days.
UNDERCOVER SEASON 4 ON NETFLIX: HOW MANY EPISODES ARE PLANNED?
We are not taking too much risk in thinking that Undercover Season 4 will consist of ten episodes of approximately fifty minutes, as is the case for the first three seasons. Generally, the number of episodes remains constant from season to season and Belgian fiction should be no exception.
WILL THE SEASON 4 TRAILER BE AVAILABLE QUICKLY?
The Undercover Season 4 trailer will go live a few days before the release of the unreleased episodes. It will therefore be necessary to be patient before being able to discover the unseen footage of Season 4 of Undercover since it must already be ordered. Following the logic of the previous season, the Undercover Season 4 trailer is expected to be available at the end of September 2022.
WHAT IS THE RELEASE DATE FOR UNDERCOVER SEASON 4 ON NETFLIX?
As we mentioned before, the Belgian-Dutch series will certainly be renewed if the fans of the series are there. If so, then the Undercover Season 4 release date on Netflix will be scheduled for November 2022.
This can be anticipated because the leader of SVOD platforms generally takes a year to release the rest of its original series, except when exceptional situations (such as lockdowns) disrupt filming.
