Co-creator Michael Price said it felt bittersweet to wrap up the show because it was a remarkable experience in his career. Co-creator and lead voice actor Bill Burr also expressed his gratitude to all the fans who watched this series.
The announcement of the end of the series has come as a shock to fans of the series over the years. When asked if it was possible to move and continue the satirical sitcom to another streaming platform, Michael Price explained that this was not possible due to legal complexities and Netflix’s ownership of rights.
He also revealed he was involved in another animation project that could land on the streaming giant. Considering all of these factors, it’s unlikely that F is for Family Season 6 will ever be made.
The series has joined the ranks of popular Netflix original animated series, such as BoJack Horseman and Big Mouth. Even if the hugely admired series has come to an end, the Murphys may come back to screens in another way. Asked about the possibility of a derivative series.
“We would love to do more with Rosie,” Michael Price remarked on Twitter. “I’m curious to see what kind of father Kevin becomes in his forties.” He, on the other hand, disputed that there are no such plans in the works right now. So, while they wait may be long, the payoff is definitely worth it.
