WHAT IS THE NETFLIX RELEASE DATE FOR SEASON 2?
December 31, 2021, the first season was released in its entirety. Unfortunately, Season 2 of Stay Close will most likely never be released on Netflix. Indeed, the series debuted on the platform as a Mini-Series. This implies that the writers have decided to tell the entire story in a single season. Indeed, the story concludes in the final episode, leaving little reason to suspect the second season of Stay Close.
Of course, we’ve seen resurrected miniseries for additional episodes before. However, this should not be the case for Stay Close, as the book appears to be finished with this story. Another reason to believe the show ends there is the mention of books. It is based on Harlan Coben’s eponymous novel, which was published in 2012 and stars in the film adaptation.
The series covers the entirety of her novel, and there are plans to adopt more of her works into the Netflix series. So it’s difficult to imagine them turning around and deciding to focus on this property rather than adapting one of its other titles as planned. You get it, for all of these reasons, there isn’t likely to be a Season 2 of Stay Close on Netflix.
