EMMA IS SHE AN ALIEN?
When Lukas realizes Emma is concealing something, he confronts her, and she responds that her mother knows everything. Emma calls her mother and invites her to meet her at a restaurant to talk. When she arrives, her mother is not there, but a middle-aged man approaches her table and speaks to her.
He explains how she got here and informs her that she is one of them, which means she is an alien. She also discovers the identity of her biological mother and how she came to be with Lykke. She was told to look after herself until the war on their planet ended, and then she could return home.

SELECTED SEASON 1 END EXPLANATION
Adrian transports Emma to the fluorescent dreamscape she briefly appeared in when Hans installed the orb around her neck. He explains that the signal informed them that their planet’s war was over and that they could now leave.
Lukas appears to be a representative of the race that Emma’s people were fleeing. Adrian advises Emma to go to the location where her family gathers in the hopes that he will see her there.
Given his behavior throughout the season, it’s no surprise that he’s the bad guy. Emma returns home to find Lykke dead and Lukas waiting for her, though she manages to flee.
While Astraeus’ henchmen occupy Lukas, Emma flees to the location Adrian instructed her to meet them and discovers the mothership. Everyone involved is patiently awaiting their departure.
Adrian begs her to accompany them, but just as she does, the mothership explodes, killing all of the aliens and leaving Adrian at the mercy of Lukas, who appears behind him. Before he dies, he informs Emma that there are other people and asks her to locate them. While on the run, Emma finds herself in the light pocket dimension once more, and this is where the series concludes.
Just watched season one and kinda liked it,i would love a season 2 as there were a LOT of unanswered questions…..i felt everyone was lying to her to be honest Mads and his Scooby gang Mads was a complete narcissist only interested in himself and how special he was( IMO) the soldier alien maybe gave a her a very one sided view but if you take what he tells it puts the other aliens in a very different light, really though its about perspective one beings bad guy can be just seen as a refugee from a different view…
My thought is her people told her it was a war and Lukas tells her it was an alien biological organism(like an infection) that changes how the host feels(basically) which implies Lukas and the others were the same alien species but Emma’s group were carrying the organism…one thing that gives me pause that Lukas wasn’t lying is her being told they would destroy humanity,i felt it might imply they were there to change humanity the way they did his people, ive read quite a lot of science fiction with a similar theme…
