EXPLANATION OF FERIA THE DARKEST LIGHT SEASON 1 END
When the demonic entity Umma enters the hospital in search of Sophia in the season finale, her older sister Eva has a surreal nightmare. Eva imagines meeting her father in the hospital hallway without realizing she is hallucinating. Pablo then begins strangling his daughter, oblivious to her cries of surprise.
Fortunately, Eva eventually snaps out of her hallucination and returns to reality. But then she realizes Sofia has been kidnapped and concludes that the young girl is most likely being taken to the temple. So, the last time we saw Eva, she was still alive and making her way to the mine temple.
The season finale begins with the city of Feria in the clutches of a demonic entity known as Dekta. Sofia and Belda are confronted in the temple by Umma, a demonic entity who kills Belda and opens a door. Sofia, realizing she has no choice but to offer herself as the key to the door, says so to the door, thereby removing the fifth veil.
The dark door is then invaded by a massive demonic entity. The Feria Season 1 finale concludes with Sofia staring in horror at the creature and letting out a bloodcurdling scream.
Despite her parents’ efforts and Pablo’s explicit warning, the young girl decides to finish the dark ritual and open the fifth veil, opening the door to a demonic dimension known as the “Kingdom.” However, based on what we know, it appears that Sofia isn’t yet dead, but is likely to face a worse fate.
Sofia may have special significance in the post-apocalyptic Feria as the “perfect being” who unlocked the door. Perhaps the only ray of hope is that Sofia will be able to see her mother, who is trapped in the infernal dimension after attempting to close the door many years ago.
