There are only a few weeks left to wait before the long-awaited arrival of Inventing Anna. The original Netflix creation directed by Shonda Rimes will be online on February 11, 2022. The fiction will tell us the true story of Anna Delvey, a young woman who managed to break into the very closed middle of the New -Yorkoise to swindle millions from the golden youth of Manhattan.
A journalist will therefore reveal Anna’s story to us while the latter is awaiting her trial since she was caught. We will then discover how Anna (played by Julia Garner) managed to gain the trust of several wealthy New Yorkers with the aim of “borrowing” several million dollars from them.
The real Anna has also recently received 320,000 dollars since the streaming platform was forced to buy the rights to her story. It may seem huge, but Anna Sokorin is so in debt that the money won’t even come back to her. The journalist responsible for investigating the scam will be played by Anna Chlumsky, who you saw in Veep. Shonda Rhimes has also recruited Katie Lowes and Jeff Perry from Scandal, Laverne Cox (Orange Is The New Black), Alexis Floyd (The Bold Type), and Anna Deavere Smith (Nurse Jackie).
