Sandra and “David” left the family home in 2014, and have not been seen since. Mark, who is leading a campaign to reunite with his ex-wife, later found dozens of unpaid bills and outstanding debts in her home. Police tracked her down in 2015, and talking to her revealed the true identity of Robert Freegard. According to them, she already knew this and wanted to stay with him.
Today, the location of Robert Freegard & Sandra Clifton remains unknown. In 2017, however, a beagle seller was scammed by Robert Freegard, claiming she wired money to Sandra Clifton’s account in France for a service to improve her dogs’ pedigree, spending thousands of dollars in vet bills and stud fees before spotting his face in an article about his previous charges.
The makers of the documentary made several attempts to contact Robert Freegard and Sandra Clifton. Freegard did not respond to the allegations made on the show. It is unclear whether Clifton ever received the messages sent to him.
