EXPLANATION OF THE END OF DEMON SLAYER SEASON 2.
Gyuutarou begins to remember the brother-sister duo’s painful past soon after Daki’s death. Despite the cruelty that surrounded him, Gyuutarou’s life seemed to have meaning, and Ume gave him a reason to live. But he was no longer a helpless victim, and the brother-sister duo had to learn to fight for their lives.
It was a terrible mistake for Ume to blind a samurai with his hairpin. Her assailants kidnapped her and later burned her alive.
When Gyuutarou discovered his charred body and began to grieve for his sister, he was attacked by a samurai on the orders of a woman. He, on the other hand, fought back and killed both the woman and the Samurai moments later. As he began to mourn Ume once more, a high-ranking demon appeared and decided to give them the opportunity to join the Twelve Kizuki.

So, as important as accepting the offer to join the forces of the Demon Lords was, their hatred of the world played an equal role in their transformation into true demons.
Akaza finds himself in the Infinity Castle at the end of Demon Slayer Season 2. Previously, the Demon Lord was enraged by Rui’s death on Mount Natagumo, and at the end of Season 2, we see something similar happen right after Gyuutarou and Daki’s beheading.
Although the anime does not show what happens next, the Demon Lord will most likely warn high-ranking demons. These stronger Twelve Kizuki soldiers have been around for hundreds of years and have hunted multiple Hashiras in their lifetime, unlike lower-ranked demons who are disposable. So killing one of them for Muzan is akin to shooting yourself in the foot. It wouldn’t be surprising if he first punished the demons before offering his blood to some of them.
