Donda West had such an impact on the musician that her last two albums, Donda and Donda 2 (due out February 22), are dedicated to her. But what was the cause of Donda West’s death?

DONDA WEST WAS WHO?
Donda West (née Williams), born on July 12, 1949, was an incredible woman who had sacrificed a lot over the years to ensure her only child was happy no matter what. This caring mother not only took care of her son by encouraging and pushing him to pursue his dreams.
Donda West, on the other hand, taught at Chicago State University for more than 31 years. Indeed, she worked her way up through the ranks to become the director of the English, communication, media, and theater departments at the university, a position she held for 24 years before retiring in 2004. That’s when she moved to California to be closer to Kanye and became a full-time momager.
WHAT CAUSED THE DEATH OF DONDA WEST?
Donda West died on November 10, 2007, at the age of 58, of complications from cosmetic surgery (liposuction, tummy tuck, and breast reduction) the day before. Donda West would have been 73 years old today.
She allegedly chose to recover at home following the procedure, which proved fatal as she died of “coronary heart disease and multiple postoperative factors” without the assistance of a competent person. Donda West “felt a sore throat, pain, and tightness in her chest before collapsing in the early evening,” according to official reports.
