EPISODE 6 FINAL EXPLANATION BY PAM AND TOMMY
The excruciating questions asked of Pamela in the deposition continue at the end of episode 6. She is compelled to answer increasingly vexing questions, and it is repeatedly implied that she purposefully leaked the private recording.
When the deposition concludes for the day, his interrogator invites him to continue the following day. Pamela is enraged and tells Alden that she is finished answering questions and that the lawyer must find another solution if he wants to keep his job. The traumatized celebrity exits the empty deposition room at the end of Episode 6.
Her interrogator’s reasoning is based on the claim that Pamela, dissatisfied with the pay she receives for Playboy photoshoots, leaked her tape so she could be featured in rival magazine Penthouse. The real leakers of the tape, Rand and Uncle Miltie, are, of course, conspicuously absent from the episode.
Pamela appears to be primarily targeted because she is a sex symbol. The fact that she is being brutally interrogated as the victim indicates that the purpose of the deposition is to delve deeper into her private life rather than to obtain her side of the story.
Tommy is relatively unscathed by the scandal, whereas Pamela is thrust into the center of the storm, seemingly alone and surrounded by men who don’t understand her predicament.
