WHEN WILL SEASON 2 OF MY DRESS-UP DARLING ON WAKANIM BE RELEASED?
On March 26, 2022, the first season came to an end. There have been no announcements about the release of My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 on Wakanim as of yet. Despite the lack of official confirmation, fans of the hit animated series can rest assured that Marin and Gojo’s budding romance will be continued in a second season.
Indeed, CloverWorks has plenty of source material for a second anime season in Shinichi Fukuda’s original manga series, and the series is popular enough around the world to warrant a renewal.
My Dress-Up Darling Episode 12 covered all content up to Volume 5 of the manga, according to Anime Geek. The good news is that nine full volumes of Tankobon have been released in Japan since March 26, with the ninth being released for Japanese readers yesterday.
The only issue is CloverWorks’ current supply of source material for Season 2 of My Dress-Up Darling. As previously stated, the first season covered the manga up to volume 5, with nine volumes released in Japan.
This means that CloverWorks will have to wait until at least one if not two, additional volumes of the manga have been released if it wants to keep its 12-episode season length. In this case, the premiere of Season 2 of My Dress-Up Darling on Wakanim should be in early 2023!
