SYNOPSIS OF OUTLANDER SEASON 6 EPISODE 4
“Hour of the Wolf,” the fourth episode of Season 6, begins with Ian reminiscing about his conversion to a Mohawk. Following that, he married Wahionhaweh, a Mohawk woman, and the couple began expecting their first child. Their daughter, however, died shortly after birth. Wahionhaweh became pregnant once more, but the baby was stillborn.
Ian meets Kaheroton on Cherokee land while accompanying his uncle Jamie to deliver Governor Martin’s rifles. He confides in Jamie about his past life with Wahionhaweh and Kaheroton, and Jamie consoles him by telling him he has done nothing to deserve regret.
Jamie, disturbed by Brianna’s revelation that the Cherokees will be evicted from their land in 60 years, warns Chief Bird. Ian fights Kaheroton in despair for stealing Wahionhaweh from him. When Kaheroton retaliates, Scotchee offers a duel, which the latter accepts. He humiliates Scotchee but does not murder him.
EXPLAINED OUTLANDER SEASON 6 EPISODE 4 ENDING
Jamie clashes with Brianna when she informs him that the Cherokees will be forced off their land following the Revolutionary War. After Outlander Season 6 Episode 4, Jamie is compelled to ensure that the Cherokees fight for the Crown in the upcoming war, even though he knows it will be a fight the Indians will never win.
As a result, Jamie decides to resign as an Indian agent to avoid betraying both the Cherokees and the King. He requests that Chief Bird abstain from fighting for the king and instead hide and flee when war breaks out. Jamie is adamant that the Cherokees not perish in the Crown’s war against the Rebels.
Jamie also resigns from his position upon realizing that he will be unable to fight for the Loyalists in the upcoming war. Jamie is not interested in fighting for the Crown because he wishes to be on the right side of history. Jamie’s shift in loyalties is certain to have far-reaching consequences, potentially altering the course of his and his family members’ lives.
