Wit Studio had a great start with their new project, but everything changed after the premiere of Ranking of Kings. After the premiere’s finale, viewers are asking for season 2 of the show, which has gone from a passing interest to a real smash.
The final episode of Ranking of Kings‘ first season was everything one might hope for. The performance was both emotional and rewarding, although there are still a lot of loose ends to be untangled. This signifies that fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the second season of Wakanim’s Ranking of Kings! Everything is revealed!
WHEN WILL SEASON 2 OF KING OF KINGS BE AVAILABLE?
On March 24, 2022, the inaugural season ended. There has been no word on whether or not Ranking of Kings Season 2 will be renewed at this time. Boji and his companions will, however, return to the small screen for a second adventure, as the Ranking Of King’s community can be certain.
The good news is that 12 manga volumes have been produced in Japan, and even though season 1 of the anime is expected to properly adapt these volumes, the series still gets new content every two months.
Even though the renewal of Ranking of Kings season 2 is almost certainly due to the continuity of the source material and its global appeal, fans should expect a long wait until the show returns. WIT Studios will have to wait for the release of further manga volumes before starting work on Season 2 of Ranking of Kings.
The good news is that WIT Studios has already been given the option of shortening season 2 from 23 to 12 episodes. Unfortunately, a 12-episode second season implies that production will have to wait for six more volumes to be released in Japan, which might take until the middle of 2023.
The release date for Season 2 of Ranking of Kings on Wakanim should be planned for spring 2023 if the show is renewed, which appears practically inevitable.
