Despite the fact that a new episode will air tonight in front of the Academy Awards, the long-running animated comedy will take a one-week hiatus. “The Sound of Bleeding Gums” is the title of the next new episode, which will air on Sunday, April 10. It’s true that The Simpsons is nearing the end of its run, and with that in mind, we’re anticipating some bigger and more memorable episodes by the time the finale airs in May. We’d like to see the show push the envelope a little bit more, especially since they still have a few more seasons ahead of them. At the very least, the show has a season 34, and we haven’t heard anything yet about whether or not that will be the final one. Why change things up now, when this is going to be a show that goes on for as long as the creative team wants it to?
