It is technically day 44 in the Big Brother Canada 10 house at the moment, so what better time to discuss the Veto winner than now?
If you missed it, Gino won Friday’s Head of Household Competition, which was put together after Buzzkilled did not go as planned. Following that, he chose to nominate Summer and Moose earlier today. His objective here was to set the stage for Marty’s nomination following the Veto, and he purposefully chose people to put up who would almost certainly not vote for him in the houseguest vote.
Regrettably, for him, this is the point at which things get a little more bizarre. Today, Jacey-Lynne, Josh, and Haleena competed in the Veto, with Haleena taking home her first victory of the season! While we wouldn’t call Marty one of her closest allies, she recognizes his value as someone to control in the game. She is well aware that if she exercises the Veto, he will almost certainly be thrown on the block and sent to the jury. For the sake of chaos, this is unquestionably the most enjoyable outcome we could hope for.
What complicates matters further is that Kevin and Haleena have attempted to pitch a possible final four to Jacey-Lynne and Gino, which will come to an end if Haleena does not exercise her Veto. However, does it matter when Gino is not HoH next week and Marty appears to be the longer-term target? We anticipate her being pulled in a variety of directions, and in the end, it’s quite remarkable she chose to win this at all. On paper, she could always pitch to get Moose out this week and use Summer’s continued stay on the block as collateral damage, but that comes with significant consequences as well.
