Get Everything you need to know about Central Park season 3!
Following today’s season 2 finale, it seems like a good time to ask the following: Will there be a third season of Central Park? Is that something to look forward to months in advance?
Without further ado, let’s get right to the good news: there will be more animated musicals/comedies in the future. This announcement was made more than a year ago, which was most likely done to give creator Loren Bouchard and the team enough time to put together more stories. The process of creating animation is vastly different from that of many other types of television programming. Because putting together stories in this manner takes a long time, early renewals are fairly common.
One of the other benefits of early renewals is that it gives a streaming service like Apple TV+ plenty of time to decide what they want to do with the show and/or when they want it back on the air. Right now, our best guess is that the series will return in early 2023, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it came out sooner.
In terms of what you can probably expect to see in terms of content in the future, the first two seasons did an excellent job of laying the groundwork for the show’s future success. We expect this to remain a fun, unique show that stands out in a genre that has become increasingly crowded over time. Following the outbreak of the global health crisis, animation has grown in popularity, as it allows casts and crews to complete all of their work remotely.
