In tonight’s episode of Chicago PD season 9 episode 18, we learned a little more about Torres, a possible new member of the force. In other words, should we trust him? Or was there something else going on here that we didn’t know about?
As soon as we met him, he was very mysterious. This made him very interesting from the start of the story. It was clear that Halstead and he didn’t get along when they were together for a long time. He wouldn’t talk, he didn’t follow the rules, and he also didn’t put 100% correct information on his forms. Many years ago, he went to prison. A lot of people thought he was going to be good in the field, but Jay couldn’t get past some of the obvious signs.
That didn’t make things any easier for Jay and Voight. They realized that they had no choice but to use him as an undercover agent. He seemed to have the best chance of success, or at least that’s what it looked like. He didn’t have a choice but to take on this job because he knew the person who was the subject of the case.
As a police officer, Halstead is a good one, but we think this episode showed some of his flaws. He can be quick to judge, and we also think he was too harsh on the recruit at the end. As long as Torres put himself at risk, this was fine with me. Finally, he said that he did what he did in the past to protect his mother, who had been abused. So why did he want to be a police officer? Because he wants to help, we think it’s simple.
As a group, we hope that Torres comes back in the future because it’s hard for anyone to break Intelligence and make an impact. He did that, too.
