When Gloria learns that the phones are going to be checked at the end of Miss Bala, she transfers the chip the DEA gave her to another phone. Lino kills her for being a mole after she accidentally puts it in Isabella’s phone. Gloria is upset, and she scolds Lino the next morning. Read this to see if Miss Bala is based on a true story.
He wants to assassinate the Chief of Police, so he sends Gloria to Miss Tijuana and bribes the judges to win because the Chief of Police is said to sleep with all the winners. She attends the after-party and agrees to meet the chef in a different room. Suzu is found, and she assures her that everything will be fine. When Suzu shows her the tattoo, she quickly realizes that Lino had duped her and that he had known where she was the entire time.
She writes on a postcard in the chief’s room that Lino is going to kill him. He dashes outside, and Gloria goes in search of Suzu. She does, and they go outside, where Gloria shoots but does not kill the police chief. Lino shows up and murders him. Gloria draws her gun and tells Lino that she knows he was aware of Suzu’s whereabouts.
He tries to reason with her before shooting her, but she is the one who fires first. He’s deadly this time. Both women are arrested, and Gloria discovers Jimmy has no tattoos when she is taken to an interrogation room. She notices the Central Intelligence Agency when he opens the door for coffee.
Jimmy is playing Lino, and he is an agent, she quickly realizes. He tells her that she could be extremely useful to the CIA, and she agrees to assist him in exchange for him dropping all charges against her and Suzu. She returns to the car with Jimmy after dropping Suzu off with her aunt and brother. The car is seen driving down the street in the final shot.
