Ozark is now available to stream on Netflix! If you’re curious about who died after Part 2 Season 4, continue reading!
Since its 2017 premiere, Ozark has received overwhelmingly positive reviews and has grown to be one of the streaming platform’s most popular series.
Since the Byrde family relocated from Chicago to the Ozarks and began laundering money for the Navarro Cartel, it’s been a long time.
Wendy and Marty eventually gain control of the cartel leader’s fate, putting them in a powerful but perilous position.
Ozark premiered Part 2 of Season 4 in April 2022, continuing Marty and Wendy Byrde’s obsessive ascension to power. To learn whether or not a fifth season will be produced, read this.
The fourth season finale of the Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams production has a decidedly dark tone, and the Byrdes appear to be on a path they cannot reverse. However, who died after Season 4’s Part 2 of Ozark? We inform you of everything!

IS OMAR NAVARRO DEATH CERTIFIED?
Omar Navarro is imprisoned for the majority of Season 4 as the cartel spirals out of control. Meanwhile, Navarro continues to believe he will soon be returned to Mexico and reclaim his liberty.
This is why he gladly accepts when the order to transfer him is given. However, Navarro is shot en route to his new prison on Camila’s orders and with the knowledge of the Byrdes.
The officer who shot him then claims to have survived an altercation with Navarro. With Omar’s demise, Marty effectively loses all authority in the Navarro Cartel, which he held with the blessing of his former boss.
Omar Navarro is a relatively balanced leader, despite his outbursts and ruthlessness. This is how Marty and Wendy were able to counsel and direct him for their mutual benefit.
Their only consolation is the FBI letter averting them from legal action. Nothing, however, appears to be able to safeguard them against Navarro’s replacement, Camila.
IS MEL SATEM DEATH CERTIFIED?
The final episode concludes with Jonah brandishing a gun at Mel Sattem, who has threatened to expose a dark family secret. After season 4, he confronts Marty about his discovery, unleashing a new Pandora’s box on the family.
Just then, Jonah approaches with the gun, and though we do not see him, the season finale fades to black with the sound of a gunshot. Thus, it is clear that Jonah shot accurately. Additionally, Jonah is a skilled shooter who is extremely unlikely to miss. Thus, Jonah shoots and kills Mel Sattem.
This is how Jonah is responsible for Mel Sattem’s death, effectively ending the investigation into Ben’s death and eliminating any possibility of identifying the perpetrators.
Byrde demonstrated early signs of prodigious criminal ability and instincts, not to mention his proficiency with firearms.
He’s even surpassed some of Marty’s technical prowess in the past. Now, by assassinating a witness who poses a threat to the family, Jonah demonstrates that he may be the family’s most ruthless criminal.
RUTH IS DEAD?
Camila Elizonndro is falsely bloodthirsty at the end of season 4 and bullies Clare Shaw into finally revealing that Ruth murdered Javi.
Marty and Wendy Byrde stand there in stunned silence, unable to admit their involvement in Javi’s murder. As a result, Camila confronts Ruth near the series’ conclusion and shoots her.
The Cartel boss personally visits Ruth’s farm to carry out the murder, and Camila, seeking vengeance for her son, ensures Ruth’s death is genuine.
Ruth is thus shot in the chest and is later discovered dead on the ground. The aftermath of Ruth’s murder is not depicted, and all we see is Marty and Wendy Byrde walking home in silence, knowing Ruth is about to be murdered.
Ruth’s death demonstrates that tragedy always follows the Byrdes. Ruth’s death is largely responsible for the Ozark series finale’s foreboding and dark message.
IS NELSON DEATH CERTIFIED?
Nelson is a ruthless assassin whose allegiance is firmly entrenched with the Navarro Cartel’s leader. Whenever his superior directed, he quickly turned the weapon on former allies.
Ruth becomes an ally of the cartel when she takes over the Mississippi Belle casino and forbids Marty from using it to launder cartel money. As a result, Nelson quickly appears at the Langmores’ trailer park.
However, Nelson is unaware that Ruth is waiting for him at home. Ruth assassinates Nelson, knowing he intends to harm her.
She then burys her body in the foundations of the new swimming pool she has built as a result of Darlene Snell’s significant legacy. Nelson’s death infuriates Navarro, who is already attempting to cement his position as cartel leader.
The cartel leader, however, blames Camila for his hitman’s death, realizing she resents his position. Nelson is shot by Rachel, but his death is largely attributable to Ruth. In some ways, Ruth should bear responsibility for Nelson’s demise, as she never forgave him for murdering Ben.
