Should you expect a Severance season 2 on Apple TV+ in the wake of today’s finale? Not only that, but when might it be shown? We have a few things to discuss in this article, as you might expect!
The first order of business, however, is to indicate that you will be seeing more of the show in the future. The streaming service announced earlier this week that the inventive workplace series will return for a second season! Matt Cherniss, the head of programming for Apple TV+ at the time, said in a statement at the time:
“Severance has imagined an existence that’s equal parts riveting and enthralling as viewers around the world can’t get enough of these rich characters, thanks to creator Dan Erickson, the brilliant Ben Stiller, and an incomparable cast and crew… In Season 2, we’re looking forward to delving deeper into this utterly unique world and peeling back more layers of Lumon.”
Moving forward, we’re confident that the show will eagerly unpack so much of who these people are, both at work and in their separate lives away from it. Furthermore, this is the type of show that could continue to surprise.
When will the second season of Severance air?
We don’t believe there will be any rush to get the show back on the air, but that’s mostly because there isn’t a compelling reason to do so. The top priority here will be to ensure that the quality remains consistent. Apple doesn’t appear to be one of those streaming services that will rush something just to get it out the door.
Season 2 is expected to premiere in 2023, and fingers crossed, there will be more opportunities to learn more about it between now and then.
