Get Everything you need to know about SWAT Season 6 release!
We now have official word on the future for everyone hoping for a SWAT season 6 renewal at CBS — and it’s very good news!
Shemar Moore, the show’s star, was the first to confirm that it will return for more episodes in a tweet today. We don’t think this comes as a huge surprise, especially since SWAT has been a consistent performer on the network for the past few years.
We’re hoping that this renewal means CBS will find a way to return the show to Friday nights, where it did best in the ratings. We believe there is still a lot of room for it to grow in the future, and it does so without a lot of promotion.
Finally, the timing of this renewal means that we’ll be able to relax and enjoy the rest of the season — hopefully, it also means that we’ll hear more about other CBS shows soon. Consider Magnum PI or Blue Bloods, both of which have yet to receive an official green light. In the meantime, all of the NCIS shows have been renewed. We’re also anticipating the FBI franchise.
So, when will the fifth season of SWAT air? It’s far too early to know for sure, but we’re hoping to see it again in the fall. We haven’t seen the network’s official schedule yet, but we’re hoping it will provide us with some insight into what’s going to happen.
