The fourth episode of Season 2 focuses on Naofumi and her group as they attempt to eliminate the Spirit Turtle, which remains alive despite being decapitated.
While exploring the legendary monster’s motionless body, they stumble upon a shrine that conceals a plethora of secrets that may provide them with the key to eradicating the monster.
Raphtalia uses anti-mirage magic to reveal his partners’ true identities as he attempts to flee with them. The hero with the shield and his allies are taken aback to discover that they are in fact Thérèse, Joan of Arc, and Glass.
Although the episode does not reveal what they did, it appears likely that they broke the spirit turtle’s seal. There does not appear to be any other reason for their presence.
Additionally, they have stated openly their intention to eliminate the Cardinal Heroes in order to put an end to the inter-dimensional horde of monsters.
