From this point forward, one thing is certain about This Is Us season 6: emotional moments at nearly every turn. How else would the show conclude now? There are still so many unanswered questions, and we also require closure.
We want to see the majority of these characters happy or at peace — not everyone will likely survive to the end, and we’re already concerned that some characters will perish along the way.
Consider Jon Huertas in the role of Miguel. There is a possibility that Tuesday’s episode (appropriately titled “Miguel”) will reveal what happens to him.
Huertas made it clear in a new interview with Us Weekly that he’s already had his final day on set, and it’s a difficult thing for him to process:
“Yes, I had my final day on set, and it was bittersweet… Part of me is relieved that we were able to conclude the story in the manner in which we desired, and part of me is devastated that I will no longer be working with these actors and crew on a daily basis. That’s the sad part; I’m going to miss it.”
Numerous actors are in the process of wrapping up the show after such a long run, which is ultimately difficult to accept. Perhaps no one will ever have another hit quite like this, but isn’t life supposed to be a grand adventure?
If Miguel does die on Tuesday’s episode, our hope is that some other characters recognize how vital he was to not just Rebecca, but to the entire Pearson family. After all, he has been overlooked for a long period of time!
