There is so much to explore in “Silver Linings,” and we want to see it unfold as soon as possible.
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait very long at all! Tonight there will be a new episode, with the bittersweet news that it will be the season 12 finale.
While we already know that there will be another season, it’s difficult to get excited about having to wait so long for the season 13 premiere. After all, this episode will not air until at least September.
So, what’s on tap for tonight? Between the return of Joe Hill and the opportunity to see Anthony at the famous Reagan family dinner table, there is much to be excited about. Below is a summary of the twenty-first episode of the twelfth season.
Danny and Jamie team up with their nephew, Joe Hill (Will Hochman), in the episode “Silver Linings,” when Jamie and Joe’s search for an undocumented, trafficked teenage girl intersects with Danny and Baez’s investigation into the murder of a woman in witness protection.

Also, Frank and Erin clash when Frank criticizes the district attorney’s office for classifying armed robbery as a misdemeanor, a mandate that has immediate repercussions for Eddie and her partner, on the 12th season finale of the CBS Original series BLUE BLOODS, airing Friday, May 6 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+*.
Is there going to be a cliffhanger? We’d never say never to this sort of thing, but you have to memorize that this is not the type of show where there often are cliffhangers.
Instead, the producers prefer to provide a sense of closure, knowing that you will likely watch the next season regardless.
