EXPLAINED BOSCH LEGACY SEASON 1 ENDING!
Bosch and Chandler eventually confront Ida Porter, who confesses to killing her former boss. Vance could no longer write or sign letters in his final years, so Ida did it for him. Vance requested that he write his will and appoint Bosch as his sole executor.
But he leaves her nothing, which she finds unfair given how long she has cared for him. So she added a section in which Vance left her $10 million. Vance, on the other hand, begins to feel better and wishes to make the will official. Ida killed Vance, knowing that her actions would be exposed if this happened. She is arrested following her confession.
Dr. Basu discovered what Shipman was up to, and Shipman murdered him for it. Bosch presents all of the evidence he has discovered to Detective Gustafason, the officer assigned to the case, and urges him to complete the investigation properly. Chandler then notifies Bosch that Shipman has been apprehended and that his client, Jeffrey Herstadt, is no longer a suspect.
Bosch tricks the assassin into thinking Vibiana and her son are at Vance’s country estate. The assassin is killed in the ensuing shootout. Creighton is then released by Bosch, who offers him a job. Bosch, predictably, refuses. Chandler later files a petition to determine Whitney Vance’s administration.
They have DNA evidence proving Vibiana and Gilberto’s relationship with Vance. At the same time, Chandler and his team avoid disclosing their clients’ identities to the press, knowing that this is still a sensitive subject.
