In Time Traveler’s Wife Season 1 Episode 4, Henry prepares to kill Jason by summoning his modern counterpart and instructing him to prepare an alibi. He and Clare then drove to Jason’s house and kidnapped the boy with the help of Clare’s father’s firearm.
Clare arrives with Jason’s inhaler, despite her plans to kill him. Henry finds it all amusing and shows her the bruises from Jason.

The Time Traveler’s Wife Season 1 Episode 3 begins with an elderly Clare recalling how she met her soulmate when she was six years old. Interestingly, this episode does not include Henry’s previous version, and Clare previously stated that he was dead. She then describes how, in subsequent meetings, her small version realized how her future could be the wife Henry mentioned during his visit.
By the age of thirteen, Clare has accumulated several clues (including obvious ones like sharing Henry’s wife’s name) that her late future husband is in love with her and is convinced that they will marry. Henry, on the other hand, continues to deny it.
Clare, as a 16-year-old, begins to flirt with Henry. She refuses to give him her clothes and presses him to admit they ended up together. She does, however, begin attending high school parties and attracts the attention of a famous jockey named Jason.
While Clare is staring at him at the party, Henry is alone in their seat, waiting for him. However, when Clare appears depressed, Henry vanishes and returns to his old age.
Clare is in a bad mood the next time they meet and picks up the phone to call Henry. She claims that because Henry knew her old version, they couldn’t die. Enraged, Henry tells her that all of her decisions are still hers and that she should not act as if her life is “on the streets.” Clare later made an unusual request to Henry. She requests that she murder her classmate Jason.
