Get Everything you need to know about This Is Us!
We’re looking forward to the This Is Us series finale on NBC this Tuesday, and we’re getting a good idea of what’s in store.
The plot of this episode revolves around Rebecca Pearson’s funeral for the majority of the time. Most of your favorite characters will be present, and she will have the opportunity to truly reflect on her life.
While we hope for some flashbacks to many years in the future, we don’t believe the writers are looking to deliver any sort of earth-shattering twist here.
In a recent feature for Entertainment Weekly, Mandy Moore described the finale as “elegant in its simplicity.” Meanwhile, Justin Hartley described it in two words: “Full circle.” The goal here is to create a loving, emotional story about family and to celebrate the lessons you learn throughout your lives. Funerals can be upsetting, but there are some lessons to be learned that you can apply to your own life.
Many of us will find it difficult to let go of This Is Us, thanks to both the quality of the storytelling and our emotional attachment to the characters.
Of course, we believe it will be equally difficult for NBC to let it go. This is one of network television’s last big critical smash hits. What will happen if they don’t have it?
