Peaky Blinders Season 5 had already cast Arthur as a character prone to outbursts that could have jeopardized Tommy’s political ambitions. DID ARTHUR DIE AT THE END OF PEAKY BLINDERS SEASON 6?
No, Arthur Shelby is not dead at the end of Peaky Blinders Season 6! Linda attempts to kill Arthur after he violently attacks a man she has come close to, but Polly Gray shoots her in the arm first.
Their relationship is strained in Season 6, and Arthur continues to struggle with his substance use and mental health issues.
When Arthur meets union official Hayden Stagg, he is arguably at his most vulnerable. Hayden reveals that he has been where Arthur is now and advises him to “walk like it’s a flat plane instead of mountains.”
This appears to have a profound effect on Arthur, despite the fact that it does not change his nature. In the series finale, he is the one who exacts revenge on the IRA for Polly’s death.
Arthur is also the only one who finds out that Tommy has tuberculosis. When Tommy hears the news, he reacts with stoic acceptance, whereas Arthur is enraged. Arthur is noticeably absent when Tommy bids his family farewell, preferring to go fishing.
Arthur informs his younger brother, through Linda, that he will soon be where Tommy is going.
There are several ways to interpret this message. One of them is that Arthur may be planning to commit suicide, or that he intends to continue living as he has and ensure that death comes soon for him…
Arthur, in any case, does not appear to want to live in the world without his younger brother. However, since the diagnosis was a lie and Tommy survived, Arthur may also survive if he learns the truth in time.
