DISCOVER THE EXPLANATION FOR THE FALL’S END OF SEASON 2! SPOILERS!
The Fall is now on Netflix! Continue reading for an explanation of the Season 2 finale!
In many ways, the finale encapsulates The Fall season 2. Promising moments buried beneath a mountain of plots that are either too contrived to be credible or introduced only to be dropped later.
While the second season of The Fall failed to replicate the success of the critically acclaimed first series, it did replicate the disappointment of the first series finale, refusing to come to any satisfactory findings in its desperation to leave the door open for a return to the screen. Read on to find out when Season 3 will be released.
It’s so frustrating for the viewer: if you’ve spent more than six hours watching a drama, the very least it can do is not leave you hanging for too long. We reveal everything about The Fall’s Season 2 finale!
EXPLAINED FALL SEASON 2 ENDING!
Paul remained silent when accused of the crimes he admitted to. Instead, we see Katie as well as her friend chatting, as well as Katie eventually admits that she knows he committed the crimes while smiling dreamily.
Meanwhile, Stella is in her hotel room in her silk dressing gown, and who is in her bed?
Yes, Stella did the dirty work alongside cute detective Tom. And in the morning, all he worries about is whether she slept with him because he reminds her of Spector in some ways. Ick. I guess it wasn’t quite the pillow talk she was hoping for.
Their conversation is cut short when a phone call comes in: Spector wants to make a deal.
In exchange for seeing his daughter, he will accompany the cops to the forest where Rose is hiding. A trip into the wilderness with a prisoner in exchange for information is doomed to fail.
Cubitt heightens the tension at the end of Season 2 of The Fall. The gun-toting villain Jimmy as well as the narrow-minded reporter pursue Stella, Tom, several other cops, and Spector as they drive into the woods.
Cubitt’s razor-sharp prose keeps you reading even when you think you’ve got it all figured out. Stella searches for Rose and finds her car deep in the woods, following Spector’s directions, while Spector stands behind, handcuffed to Tom. Rose is almost dead in the chest.

They tracked her down! Jimmy emerges from the trees at the end of Season 2 of The Fall and fires his gun. Spector and Tom have both been hit.
He appears to be dying and is about to say something to Stella…
Then the credits begin to roll. And we’re not sure whether to slap Alan Cubitt for leaving us hanging or kiss him for not neatly wrapping things up.
