Monica expresses her joy in episode 2 when she discovers Tate sleeping on Mother Nature’s lap. Kayce goes outside after hearing strange cow sounds and encounters a wolf. He begins speaking to the animal, asking him to accompany him to the forest and leave the valley alone.
John observes him from behind and informs Kayce that his father, too, used to communicate with animals. Beth is taken aback when she learns that Market Equities has purchased the Jenkins’ property and intends to build an entire town around it.
Roarke, the hedge fund manager, confronts her and tells her exactly what she doesn’t want to hear.
Meanwhile, Sweetgrass County District Attorney Randy Harper calls Jamie and requests that he “deal” with the attackers who jumped on two racers and stole their motorcycles and belongings.
Jamie assigns the case to cattle officer Steve Hendon. Hendon loads the robbers into the trailer and drives hard to teach them a lesson.
As the men are thrown against the sides of the trailer, the driver applies the brakes and swerves several times. Jamie eventually receives a call from Sweetgrass County Jail, where she learns that Henden is being held for accidentally killing the Rogues.
