The movie begins in 1938, during the Spanish Civil War, with a group of people gathered to celebrate a wedding being shot by German soldiers and a gas bomb being thrown at the corpses.
Jan Lazano is seen bound and gagged and about to be shot by soldiers when he reveals himself to be General Lazano’s nephew and is eventually saved by him.
Jan is then revealed to be a lawyer and Fifth Brigade captain who was convicted of treason for headbutting a judge who was Francisco Franco’s cousin.
He is wanted for murder, but the general orders him to deliver an important letter to the sixth, which is on the other side of no man’s land and enemy lines, to save his life.

On July 11, 2022, the movie was released. There have been no renewal announcements regarding the release of Malnazidos 2 on Netflix as of yet.

Matacuras and Jan are separated at the end of the first movie after exchanging a kiss. She wishes to continue their story, but he wishes to go his own way, believing that nothing good can come from the war.
The post-credits scene then shows Jan’s hand reanimating as a zombie, leaving us to speculate on what will become of his character.
